Only 2 known of this Wells Fargo model inscribed "W.F.& Co.EXP. 285" which is referenced by serial number 5585 in the definitive Charles Pate book "Smith & Wesson American Model" at page 252. A copy of that page is included with the revolver. This is a time when many firearms are spuriously hard as Wells Fargo property, it is wonderful to find a fully documented one.
