A very handsome Civil War Union Militia sword with an eagle;e pommel, decorative wire wrapped leather grip and a guard ending in eagles as well. It is housed in an Indian scabbard of high quality, beaded with decoration which had Native American meaning. the scabbard incorporated the two ring portion which held it to a belt and the brass drag. However these did not begin their lives together. How they came to be together is a mystery…but its very cool!!!
